What is the problem or goal you're trying to solve or accomplish?
Users want to save a newly created chart directly into a specific tab within an existing dashboard (multi-tab dashboard), instead of having to move it afterward.
How are you solving it currently?
They save the chart to the dashboard, then manually move/rearrange the chart from the end of the first tab to the intended tab (often via Edit Dashboard + drag/drop or cut/paste workflow). This is repetitive and error-prone, especially when iterating on many charts.
What is your recommended solution?
When saving a chart to a dashboard, add an option to choose the destination tab (and ideally the position within the tab, e.g., “end of selected tab” by default).
Example UX: in the “Save chart” modal, after selecting the dashboard, show a Tab dropdown (populated from that dashboard’s tabs) so the chart is created directly in the chosen tab rather than always the first tab.
