Drill down for dates

What is the problem or goal the end user is trying to solve or accomplish?

Currently drill down does not work with DATE type columns.

How are they solving it currently?

Convert the date into a string and include it on the chart which would then allow the drill down to work.

What is the recommended solution by the Customer?
