What is the problem or goal the end user is trying to solve or accomplish?
Series Limit can be applied to help with chart visualization to only show an X amount of series instead of showing all. However, in some use cases, users would like to consolidate the rest of the series into the nth series instead of omitting them (for example, limiting the series to 5, consolidating the rest into the 5th series).
How are they solving it currently?
It is not currently possible to achieve this.
What is the recommended solution by the Customer?
Create the option to consolidate the rest of the series to the nth series.
This would be super valuable feature. A lot of the visualizations (I believe for many companies) are grouping a main metric by different dimensions. If a dimension has too many series, it is often not possible to limit the series if it results in incomplete data - think about showing the revenue by customer when there are eg. 500 customers - the user always wants to see the total revenue and just group it with different dimensions. In this case we are not currently able to use the Limit Series -feature, as using it would impact the total revenue amount and show an incorrect value as total. At the same time it would be extremely helpful to show the biggest 20 etc. and group other 480 customers in category 'Other'.
