Allow user to hide dashboard filters based on certain conditions.

What is the problem or goal you're trying to solve or accomplish?

Currently in Preset, all filters configured on a dashboard are visible to the end user in the filter bar. Dashboard creators sometimes might need to apply constant filter constraints across all charts on a dashboard without exposing these controls to end users or taking up space in the filter bar thus allowing the dashboard owner to set these default filter values on the dashboard level while hiding it for other normal viewers would be a good option.

How are you solving it currently?

Not possible.

What is your recommended solution?

• Toggle in Filter Configuration: Add an option in the Native Filter configuration modal such as "Hide from Filter Bar" or "Internal / Locked Filter".

• Filter Execution: The filter should still be applied globally (or scoped to selected charts/tabs per standard filter scoping rules) and pass its selected default value into all queries.

• UI Behaviour:

  • Viewers do not see the filter in the native filter panel.

  • Dashboard editors can still view, configure, and edit hidden filters via the "Edit Dashboard" / Filter settings modal.
