Display Additional User Info with Search-as-You-Type in User Picker

What is the problem or goal you're trying to solve or accomplish?

When assigning users in pickers (such as the Row Level Security rule editor), each user entry only shows the display name, with no additional identifying information. This makes it difficult to distinguish between users — especially in environments where multiple users share similar names or where no recognisable display name is configured. The goal is to make user selection faster and less error-prone.

How are you solving it currently?

Users are manually scanning through the list to identify the correct entry, which is tedious and prone to selection errors when the list is long or names are ambiguous.

What is your recommended solution?

Two improvements to the user picker component:

  • Show a secondary line of info (e.g. email address) beneath each user's display name in the dropdown, similar to how roles already display a "Role" label as a subtitle (as shown in the existing UI).

  • Add search-as-you-type filtering that searches across both the display name and the secondary field (e.g. email), so users can quickly narrow down the list without scrolling.

This would apply to any user picker in the product, such as the one found in the Row Level Security rule editor under DAR (and equivalent pickers elsewhere).
