What is the problem or goal you're trying to solve or accomplish?
Their Time Series Table has a variable number of categories/rows each day. They enlarged the chart container on the dashboard so days with many rows fit, but on days with fewer rows the scheduled PDF report shows a large white empty space before the next chart. They want reports to avoid wasted space and keep the PDF compact/readable.
How are you solving it currently?
They manually adjust the chart frame size in the dashboard to accommodate worst-case row counts, accepting that on “small” days the report will have big blank areas.
What is your recommended solution?
Provide a report rendering option to reduce/avoid blank space caused by fixed dashboard grid heights. For example:
Auto-fit chart height to content (especially for table-like visuals) when generating reports, with optional min/max height.
Or a “flow/reflow layout for reports” mode that stacks charts vertically based on rendered content height (instead of fixed pixel containers), with sensible page breaks.
