Make Filters Visible but Unchangeable

What is the problem or goal the end user is trying to solve or accomplish?

Users want to apply default filters on dashboards that are visible but unchangeable for non-Admin users. This ensures that certain filters (e.g., client-specific filters) are enforced while still allowing users to see which filters are applied. Currently, there is no way to lock filters while keeping them visible.

How are they solving it currently?

Using Row Level Security (RLS) to restrict data access, but this does not provide a visible filter selection.

Creating separate dashboards for different user groups with predefined filters, which leads to duplication and maintenance overhead.

Embedding dashboards with URL parameters to predefine filters, but this does not work for users accessing dashboards within Preset.

What is the recommended solution by the Customer?

Introduce a feature that allows Admins to set filters that are:

1. Visible but non-editable for specific roles or users.

2. Still allow other filters to be interactive if needed.

3. Enforce data visibility rules without requiring RLS or duplicate dashboards.
