Annotation to work with Date type column

What is the problem or goal the end user is trying to solve or accomplish?

Right now, annotation is expecting to column to be in the Datetime type

How are they solving it currently?

Cast the column from Date to Datetime

What is the recommended solution by the Customer?

Allow the annotation to work with Date type as well
