Currently when you select to add totals to rows or columns on the pivot table it automatically adds subtotals as well but subtotals are not always wanted and redundant when there is only one item being subtotaled as in the screenshot.

Consider setting upper limits on the number of series that users can add to each chart type. For example, if a user adds 500+ series to a line chart, the chart will take a long time to render (and might time out) and end up being unreadable.
